A wide range of industries were represented including utilities, telecommunications, district heating and transportation. During the conference, 31 presentations and live demos were conducted during 11 technical & plenary sessions.
The conference was opened by Marek Gondzio, President and CEO of Globema. Marek’s opening address, focused on partnerships and market-leading solutions from market-leading vendors was followed by key note presentations from James Wheatley (Product Line Manager for Telecoms, GE) covering the evolution of Smallworld with the next major release – Smallworld 5; and Nir Diskin (VP Engineering, Viryanet) covering performance management and key features of FFA 12. Following a number of further presentations, including Prof. Zmijewski’s (Member of the National Development Council under the President of the Republic of Poland) forecast of the citizen’s energy, the attendees enjoyed an excellent networking event at the lake in the evening with traditional Polish food and some friendly, but highly competitive, games of darts and table football.
Thursday saw parallel tracks covering presentations for the energy, utilities and telecoms markets, including guest presentations from Orange, DataWise & Energa. On the live demo track Globema presented a number of customer focused solutions, such as: mobile applications for field network inventory, geo-marketing tools based on Google GEO technology, mobile workforce management systems, solutions for HFC and broadband network design and many others.
Traditionally Conference included the technical exhibition, where over 40 software solutions for the telecommunications, energy, utilities as well as multi-sector applications were being presented during the whole event.
